Otsego Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Beth Ayotte as the next principal of Dix Street Elementary School, effective August 1, 2026.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Tasia Stamos for her leadership and dedication while serving as interim principal. Her commitment to supporting students, staff, and families during this school year has been greatly appreciated.

Ayotte brings a diverse background in education and leadership, holding degrees from Western Michigan University and the University of Phoenix. She has served students and school communities across Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, and South Haven. Most recently, she was the Elementary Principal in Fennville, where she led a K–5 building and oversaw early childhood programs. In addition to her work in education, Ayotte has experience as a corporate trainer in the healthcare field.

Ayotte is passionate about literacy and early childhood education, and she is committed to ensuring all students have the support they need to succeed. She believes that with the encouragement of caring adults, every child can achieve success both in school and in life.

“I am excited to join the Dix Street Elementary team and become part of the Otsego community,” Ayotte shared. “I look forward to working alongside students, staff, and families to create a positive and supportive learning environment.”

Originally from St. Joseph, Ayotte currently resides in Allegan with her husband, Troy, and their two sons, Jack and Brett. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, camping, and cheering on her sons at their sporting events.
