Dads of Great Students is what Watch D.O.G.S. is all about and we're excited to have this program at Dix Street! Watch D.O.G.S. is a national program that encourages dads, and father figures, to volunteer at the school for a day. These volunteers provide additional male role models to our kids, an extra set of eyes on our campuses and the opportunity for our dads to get more involved in their child's education and the school.

The Dix Street Watch D.O.G.S. program typically begins Oct.1st. This is a program where Dads, grandfathers, uncles, big brothers, etc. spend a day at school to increase the presence of positive male role models in our school community. Look for details in the weekly newsletter on our kick-off event when the date is set.

We will create a calendar for the school year where you can pick your day to volunteer. Remember, before you sign up, be sure the school has a Criminal Records Check form on hand for you. Look at the Parents page for the link to that form.
