Dads of Great Students is what Watch D.O.G.S. is all about and we're excited to have this program at Alamo! Watch D.O.G.S. is a national program that encourages dads, and father figures, to volunteer at the school for a day. These volunteers provide additional male role models to our kids, an extra set of eyes on our campuses and the opportunity for our dads to get more involved in their child's education and the school.
The Dix Street Watch D.O.G.S. program begins Oct.1st. This is a program where Dads, grandfathers, uncles, big brothers, etc. spend a day at school to increase the presence of positive male role models in our school community. Our Kick-Off event will be Sept. 28th at 6:00 pm. This is a great way to get some more guys involved in our school! We hope to see you on Sept. 28th. Contact the office if you need more information.
Our goal is to have a WatchDOG every day of the year. Before you sign up, be sure the school has a Criminal Records Check form on hand for you. Then, call the office to volunteer for a day or two! 269-692-6099.
